Call sheets that protect the idea

A shot list is not a wish list. It is the order of work when the weather, the talent, or the building turns.

We write the must-have frames first: the still that prints, the shot the edit cannot live without. Everything after that is a bonus with a time attached.

Locations get a backup that is not ‘we will find a wall’. If the square is closed, the alley is already permitted.

Talent, catering, and camera department see the same document. Versioning a call sheet in three chats is how a lunch becomes a missed window.

On mixed stills/motion days the stills block is a named hour, not ‘we will grab it’. Grabbing is how the hero still is shot in leftover light.

Wrap includes a five-minute stills pull for social if the producer asked in the brief. It does not include a new concept invented at 18:40.

Coastview produces commercial photography and motion from Trieste. The still and the film share a recce so a campaign does not split in public between a lookbook that looks like noon and a cut that looks like sunset. The rooms on Via San Nicolò hold tabletop, a compact cyclorama, and a colour desk. Clients sit with tethered stills and a calibrated monitor in one visit. Product and grade are not two cities apart. Location days stay on the harbour stone we recce first. Bounce and a quiet key match the overcast; we do not gel a false Adriatic. If the weather turns, we wait or we rewrite the shot, we do not invent the hour in the suite. Agencies come with a media plan. We name masters for print, 1:1, and 9:16, keep a working project for the revision window, and hand an archive another team can open a year later without a private naming scheme.
